The Perfect Gluten-Free Fourth of July themed Cupcake Recipe

Updated: Aug 2, 2020

Hey everyone! As you all know, the Fourth of July is coming up this week! I've been wanting to make a special, Gluten-Free vanilla cupcake recipe up for a long time, so I thought, why not now?

I've been working on this vanilla cupcake recipe for about 2 months, and I hope you enjoy! There's been many messy kitchens and failed cupcakes throughout making this recipe, but it's all been worth it! 😂

The thing that really makes these different from regular vanilla cupcakes is the decorations. In this recipe, we use red, white, and blue frosting. I've been working on a delicious buttercream frosting recipe which you can use soon (hint, hint) but in the meantime, you can use your favorite store-bought frosting and dye it, or you can use another frosting recipe! I also used red, white, and blue sprinkles, which makes it feel even more festive, but you can use any sprinkles you like or no sprinkles at all.

And now for the recipe!

The Perfect Gluten-Free Fourth of July themed Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients:

-3 cup Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour

-2 1/4 cup sugar

-2 eggs

-1 cup water

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-6 tablespoons melted butter

-1 teaspoon baking powder

-1/4 teaspoon salt

-Red frosting

-Blue Frosting

-White frosting

-Sprinkles

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2. In a medium sized bowl mix together Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt

3. In a mixing bowl, stir together eggs, water, vanilla extract, and melted butter until combined. Slowly stir in the dry mixture, a little at a time.

4. Pour batter into cupcake liners, filling 3/4 whole.

5. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6. Cool until cool to the touch

7. With the frosting, smooth one color onto 1/3 of the cupcake with a butterknife. Add the other two colors onto the remaining 2/3 of the cupcake, and gently smooth the frostings together to create a mixed effect.

8. Lightly cover with sprinkles

9. Eat and enjoy!
